There are three (3) ways to vote in the General Election on November 7th:
  1. Vote In Person - Go to your district's Polling Location (listed below) on General Election Day - November 7th, 2023. Polls are open 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  2. Vote By Mail - If you are registered to Vote By Mail, you will receive a ballot in the mail and can cast your vote by mailing your ballot using USPS, depositing it at a secure ballot drop box, or delivering it in person at one of the County Clerk Offices in Elizabeth and Westfield.
  3. Early Voting - You can vote in person at an early voting location from October 28, 2023 – November 5, 2023 (the in-person early voting period). Hours will be Monday-Saturday, 10:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m. and Sunday, 10:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. No appointment is necessary. Click here for the full list of early voting sites in Union County. New Providence location: DeCorso Community Center - 15 East Fourth Street.
 
Important Dates:
  • TUESDAY, OCT 17 – Last day to register to vote for the General Election. Registration forms must be postmarked or received by Municipal Clerks by this date.
  • SATURDAY, OCT 28 – Early Voting begins for the General Election and ends on Sunday, November 5. Click here for Early Voting information.
  • TUESDAY, OCT 31 – Last day to apply by mail for a Vote By Mail ballot for the General Election.
  • SATURDAY, NOV 4 – Special opening from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. of the County Clerk Offices in Elizabeth and Westfield to apply for a Mail-In Ballot for the General Election.
  • SUNDAY, NOV 5 – Early Voting for the General Election ends.
  • MONDAY, NOV 6 – Last day to apply in person for a Mail-In Ballot before 3 p.m. in the County Clerk Offices in Elizabeth and Westfield.
  • TUESDAY, NOV 7 – General Election Day: Polls are open 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
